Misha Bolton writes socially conscious fantasy rooted in her background as a feminist and racial justice activist. She holds a degree in social sciences and has spent her career in the non profit sector, working across children’s rights, women’s rights, and wider social justice advocacy. As a woman of colour, she is committed to expanding representation in fantasy and exploring how power, identity, and resistance shape both real and imagined worlds.
Her fiction blends magic with questions of justice and belonging, inspired by years spent organising, campaigning, and learning from communities fighting for change. A debut writer based in Hertfordshire and a mum of three, she has just completed Daughter of the Waning Moon, an adult fantasy novel that imagines fairer worlds—and the people brave enough to build them.
